DAP/DDP Ocean Freight

DAP/DDP Ocean Freight

For Ocean Freight service, your shipments will be loaded into a container and a vessel will carry more than thousands of containers sailing through the ocean to the destination country. After the vessel lands at the destination port, the container carrying your shipments will still need to be unloaded and get through all necessary processes before your shipments are free to go in the state.
Once it’s cleared and free, the final delivery to the ultimate destination can be either by Truck or Courier, depending on the service you have chosen.
DDP or DAP?
DDP stands for “Delivered Duty Paid”. Aside from the official definition of trade term, when it comes to DDP service in logistics, it usually means the freight you are going to pay has included all the duty/tax/tariff already. The freight will be flat rates that include everything.
DDP service is easy and friendly to shipments with small volumes and when importing products with very high import tariffs/taxes.
DAP stands for “Delivered At Place” Aside from the official definition of the trade term, when it comes to DDP service in logistics, it usually means the freight itself does not include the duty/tax/tariff, which is going to be separate charges besides the freight.
DAP service is ideal for businesses that already have the import license and authorization, or shipments with big volumes and products with low import tariffs.
ToHeart provides All-Scenario Ocean Freight solutions that fit all your needs. From DAP to DDP, From Truck Delivery to Courier Delivery.
